Stop managing your pain. Start solving it.
Personalized movement coaching for stubborn injuries.
Axia Movement bridges the gap between rehab and training to help active people solve chronic pain and get back to what they love. If you’re dealing with ankle, knee, or hip issues keeping you from doing what you love, I can help. Together, we’ll test, observe, and think critically until we find what others missed—so you can move freely again.
Let me guess:
You've seen multiple specialists—PT, chiro, massage, sports medicine—and nothing has really worked.
You're tired of being told to "do more mobility" or "just rest and it'll get better."
You want to hike, run, bike, or simply move through your day without bracing for pain.
You refuse to accept that this is just how your body is now.
If that's you, you're exactly who I help.
If that's you, you're exactly who I help.
My approach is different
Listen first
Every session starts with your story—what hurts, what you've tried, and what you want to get back to doing. I'm here to understand your body and your goals, not rush you through a protocol.
Test and observe
We explore movements together to find what helps and what doesn't. I'm looking at how you move, where you substitute, and what your body is trying to tell us. We'll observe, experiment, and problem solve creatively until your body communicates what's been missing.
Coach you forward
You leave with exercises that address the root cause, not just the symptoms. And you'll understand why you're doing them, because we're in this together. I'm not just giving you orders—I'm teaching you how your body works so you can keep getting better on your own.
Each 90-minute session gives you clarity through experimentation. We'll test, adjust, and figure it out together—plus two weeks of follow-up support. You can text me questions, send videos for form checks, and I'll send you Loom videos if we need to adjust your plan.
When you stop thinking about your pain—that's when we know we've succeeded.
Trail Runner | Shin Pain
The problem: Chronic shin pain for 10 years. Couldn't run more than 2 miles without limping. Had seen 8 different specialists. Tried PT, rest, orthotics—but nothing stuck. Started to accept she'd never run again.
The outcome: Now hiking 8+ miles pain-free. Actually running again for the first time in a decade. Went from "I can't do this anymore" to "I haven't thought about my shin all week."
Real clients. Real comebacks.
Evolved Coaching works whether you’re training, rehabbing, or just trying to live without constant pain.
Climber | Shoulder Pain
The problem: Nagging shoulder pain made overhead moves agonizing. Avoided certain routes entirely. Felt stuck and frustrated.
The outcome: Back to climbing 5.12 routes confidently. Shoulder feels stronger than before the injury. Can finally push herself without fear.
Volleyball Player | Knee Pain
The problem: Patellar tendon pain for 1 year + that kept him from playing volleyball and interfered with his day-to-day life. Felt discouraged and wondered if he should stop playing.
The outcome: Able to navigate life pain free and back to playing volleyball multiple times per week!
Cyclist | Back Pain
The problem: Couldn't ride more than 30 miles without debilitating low-back pain. Every long ride ended with him hobbling off the bike. Started avoiding group rides because he couldn't keep up.
The outcome: Finished a 50-mile ride pain-free. Set a personal best time up Flagstaff Road. Rides with his crew again.
Five things most people get wrong about pain
"Pain means I should stop moving."
Actually: Pain is a signal—not a stop sign. It's information about what your body in missing. Your brain is a prediction engine, and once it feels pain doing something, it starts expecting pain every time you do that thing. We can retrain that. The right movement, incorporating the right muscles or tendons, often makes pain better, not worse. I'll teach you how to listen to pain without being ruled by it.
"I need someone to fix me."
Actually: You don't need to be fixed—you need guidance. My job isn't to do something to you. It's to work with you to creatively problem-solve to figure out what actually helps your body. You'll learn the process, not just follow orders. That way you can keep progressing after our sessions end. You're not a passive patient here; you're a partner.
"I've tried everything and nothing works."
Actually: You haven't tried the right approach yet. Most treatments follow a standard protocol. We won't. We'll test, experiment, hypothesize, and reevaluate until we find what actually helps your body. If Plan A doesn't work, we'll try B, C, and beyond.
"Aging comes with aches and pains."
Actually: You might not be 20 anymore, but that doesn't mean it's "normal" to have everyday pain or not be able to engage in the activities you love. Pain is a signal and lets us know that something isn't working the way that it should. You just haven't found the right solution, yet!
"Getting out of pain is the goal."
Actually: Getting out of pain is just the starting line. The real goal is rebuilding brain-body connection and building the strength and capacity to do what you love, without constantly worrying that the pain will come back. The goal is to build lasting change.
